CBC's popular television show "Dragons' Den" is on the hunt entrepreneurs for their next season and will be making a stop in Nelson next week.
Associate Producer Justine Lewkowicz says a new angle in their 6th season will be to look for an amazing new environmental idea...the winner of that element will receive an additional $100 thousand dollars.

Auditions get underway March 17th at the Prestige Lakeside Resort from noon until 7pm.

Border Drug Bust

Border officials at the King's Gate crossing in Yhak made an interesting discovery last Friday as a 46 year old Alberta man attempted to from the US.


The border guards discovered 10 kilograms of cocaine hidden in a commercial tractor trailer.
The drugs have an estimated street value of 400-thousand dollars.

Officials seized the vehicle and turned the suspect over to Creston RCMP.
He was later released with conditions to appear in court at a later date.

No power Sunday night for hundreds in Trail

About 700 greater Trail residents were without power for several hours last night.
 
Fortis spokesperson Marnie Douglas says an equipment failure is to blame but the problem has now been fixed and so no longer be an issue.

The effected areas were Tadanac, Sunningdale, Oasis and Riverdell.
