Conservatives look to scrap long gun registry

The Conservatives are looking to start the process of scrapping the long gun registry in a vote this week.
Kootenay Columbia MP Jim Abbott says it's been a 2 billion dollar waste of money, and it hasn't led to decreased crime, instead it's targeted honest hunters and farmers.
Abbott says there was a survey done on the basis of the registry...and that's a clear misuse of the registry info.
Abott says because the motion to repeal is a private members bill, MP's don't have to cross party lines to vote in favour of its, so they're pressuring rural MP's like Alex Atamanenko.
