Boundary School district 5 year plan on hold
The Boundary School District is waiting to find out from the Education Ministry as to what kind of funding they'll get this year.
This before they continue their Planning for the Future public forums.
Superintendent Michael Strukoff says right now they're a district in funding protection, so they get an extra 6-hundred thousand dollars.
Strukoff adds all school boards are facing additional costs which aren't covered by the Ministry, things like teachers raises, pension contributions and increases to benefit packages.
Meanwhile they've received all day Kindergarten funding for roughly two thirds of students, so both Grand Forks Elementary schools will make the switch this fall.
