Grand Forks renews garbage contract

Grand Forks has officially renewed their garbage contract with Alpine Services for another year, following the city's inability to devise their own in house plans.

 Mayor Brian Taylor says the extension comes with a slight increase, however it buys the city a little over a year to explore options.

Taylor adds costs are the biggest hurdle in trying to implement the city's own collection service.
