Wrapping a decade of TV
What were the most watched TV shows of the 2000's?
First let me point out two things:
1. It's weird to see 2000's. It's a weird decade to try and short form...
2. It only dawned on me yesterday that we were wrapping up another decade... i'm pretty on the ball, eh?
Alrighty.
So this list is straight from the data provider, Rueters, and it shows the specific episodes that received the most viewers on the day or night it originally aired. Notice that none of the top ten are from the last couple years and that only 2 aired after 2005... a decline in TV watching? An incline in internet viewing and downloading? Or is it that there just isn't the kind of TV shows that we connect with anymore? Whatever the reason, the numbers were definitely stronger earlier in the decade. Here's the list.
