Money for the CT Scanner and James Cameron
CT Scanner Fundraiser
This Saturday, January 16th local musician Jude Davison will perform at Nelson's Capitol Theatre with money going towards the KLHF's CT scanner fundraiser. You can expect a very creative and entertaining show with some of Nelson's best singers and musicians joining Jude as he presents his new album, Circo de Teatro in its entirety. Make sure to tune in for this week's Made in the Kootenays for a listen to Jude and his music (Made in the Kootenays airs at 1pm on Friday with a repeat on Sunday at 1pm).

Cameron = $$$
The boy from the small town of Kapuskasing in Northern Ontario has come a looooong way. In fact, James Cameron could probably buy the whole town now. His latest flick, Avatar, is poised to take over 1st place on the list of biggest money making movies of all time. The only thing in his way is himself (his world wide hit, Titanic, is currently #1). After a 4th straight weekend topping the box office, Avatar has now earned $1.34 billion (Titanic made $1.8 billion). Given the fact that Cameron wrote, directed and is listed as a producer on both of those movies and throw in some of his other titles (Aliens, The Abyss, the Terminator trilogy), I put his net worth at roughly ‘more money than anyone could ever spend.'
