5 stars for a couple of West Kootenay communities in the recent WinterLights competition- the winter equivalent of Communities in Bloom.
At an awards ceremony this past Saturday in Charlottetown, P.E.I both Rossland and Trail were honoured for their efforts.
Rossland placed third overall in the population category of 1 thousand to 75 hundred.
Trail took 5th place in the 75 hundred to 30 thousand category.
The 33 participating communities were judged between November 25th and December 16th.
