Wildfire Education

The Nelson fire department will be taking a new approach to public education around wildfires this year.

Fire chief Simon Grypma says firefighters will be visiting high risk neighbourhoods towards the end of April and early May talking to residents on a range of issues.

Grypma adds this component comes at an important time as forecasts are calling for another high risk fire season.
